PALAYAM ,THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - A SEAT OF SECULARISM AND COMMUNAL HARMONY

     As  you aware Palayam,Thiruvananthapuram, in the capital city of Kerala, is a land mark of communal harmony and secularism. In Palayam, a visitor can see the Palayam Juma Masjid, the grand masjid of Kerala,the opposit side St.Joseph's Cathedral of Thiruvananthapuram Arch Dioces.  The white colored cathedral is a surprise for the visitor.The new White color is a secret of the paint mixing of the great painter from Mysore.  The Palayam Juma Masjid is also shoulder with Sree Vinayaka Temple of Palayam, as well as the  Bascillica of the Queen of Peace (formerly known as the cinema kottaka paali).These three model monuments are standing in the same square adjacent with Victoria Jubilee Town Hall.This is a classical monument of communal harmony and secularism of Kerala,God's Own Country.
     The greatness of the Palayam Juma Masjid is its simplicity of style,which silently telling the greatness of Mr.T.P.Kuttyammu Sahib,then Chief Engineer of Kerala and Mr.Alexander, the Chief Architect of this monument. Presently Molwi Mr.Jamaluddeen Mankada leading the people as Chief Imam and Khazi.He is well known by his humbleness and simplicity in life and greatness for his acts and thoughts.
